Okotoks diners will soon have another reason to beef up their lunch plans.
The Okotoks Food Bank recently celebrated the dedication of its volunteers, who play a vital role in supporting the community through various tasks throughout the year.
On September 14, the organization held a volunteer appreciation event to recognize the time and energy donated by these individuals.
Volunteers contribute to the food bank’s work by helping with tasks such as growing food, collecting and sorting donations, assembling food hampers, and maintaining the Help Yourself Shelf program.
“Every one of these jobs plays an important part in how we are able to support our community,” the Okotoks Food Bank stated on social media. “We truly could not do what we do without you.”
The Okotoks Food Bank relies on volunteers to help provide essential services to the community, and their efforts are greatly appreciated.
