The art of celebration is in full bloom in Okotoks!
The Okotoks Art Gallery is celebrating a milestone anniversary with a special event this weekend. On Saturday, the gallery will host an outdoor market, Art on the Lawn, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring one-of-a-kind artwork and allowing shoppers to meet the artists behind the work.
The market is also a celebration of the gallery’s 45th anniversary, a significant achievement for the local arts community. Two new exhibits will be unveiled during the event, including “The Elementals: A Celebration of the Women of Creation” by Esther Neufeld and “Won’t You Be My Neighbour?” by Ashley Thimot.
Both exhibits will run until November 6, giving visitors a chance to view the artwork and meet the artists. The outdoor market and exhibit openings are a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the gallery’s rich history and continued contributions to the local arts scene.
