It's time to "leaf" no stone unturned in protecting your plants from the frost.
Residents in the Okotoks area are among those under a yellow-level frost advisory issued by Environment Canada, with freezing temperatures expected overnight.
The advisory includes areas around Okotoks, as well as several other communities in the Foothills region, including High River, Aldersyde, De Winton, Diamond Valley, Priddis, Longview, Cayley, Nanton, Claresholm, and Stavely.
Environment Canada predicts overnight lows will range between -5 C and 0 C, with temperatures warming again Sunday morning.
The advisory carries a moderate impact level and high forecast confidence, with damage to plants, trees, and crops possible.
Residents are advised to take preventative measures to protect sensitive plants, such as covering them, and to continue monitoring local forecasts and alerts.
